Data You Choose to Provide
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not store those searches on our servers. If you contact us, we receive your message and use its contents to respond.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard server logs can include an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. We review combined traffic data to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and advertising measurement.
How We Use Site Data
We use limited data to operate the site, troubleshoot faults, measure visits, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and outside search services. Information sent to those destinations is governed by their policies, not this one. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a separate company.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may give you rights to inspect, correct, or delete data retained by a website. As of the August 23, 2026 research date, the official sources reviewed showed no enacted comprehensive Illinois consumer-data law providing a universal deletion or opt-out system. Illinois still has record-specific and sector-specific privacy laws. Because we retain little information, a request generally involves checking our contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to make that request.
Government records remain under the control of the City of Burbank, Cook County, Illinois, or another named custodian. Correction and access requests must go to that office. The Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, governs access to many agency records, but it does not create a general right to erase accurate public records.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Revisions will appear on this page. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the new policy.
